Text - thestuffedalligator "In what year did the events of Pixar's Ratatouille occur?" They do not give a specific year, but the film offers a lot of information if you look. There are no computers, celphones, or internet, so we know it takes place prior to the PC revolution of '95; it is not contemporary with its release date of 2007. Skinner and Linguini share a bottle of "61 Château Latour", so we that is the absolute earliest year the film can take place in. Rather than go down the list of c

Text - Canonically (according to the producers), this mime seen in Ratatuille is Bomb Voyage, the supervillain seen in the first act of The Incredibles (I). This is good, because we know with a fair degree of certainty when The Incredibles takes place. Wwwvn Metrauille Tribune SCIENTISTS F THE MISSING LIN Meirovine Critu. Text - As seen in the newspaper, the date of the second act is 16 May 1962. Now we need to figure out when the first act took place. 15 YEARS LATER Image from This Insider. We know that Act II starts fifteen years after the events seen in ACT I. Violet's age of 14 is consistent with this timeline.

Text - 1962 - 15 = 1947 If we assume that superheroes and ultratech existed in 1947, that would explain the (in our eyes) anachronistic car designs seen in Act I. Looking at the Bomb Voyage pics, we can see that the face (and body) has not changed much, but by the same token, neither has Mr. Incredible, so this does not help much with the date... so let us look at other clues. Paris has no modern buildings, so this fits well with a time frame closer to the end of the Second World War. Pantry che

Text - Colette wears her hair in a style popular in the late 1950s and early 60s but practically non-existent in the late 1940s and early 50s. Colette's motorcycle looks anachronistic, but can be explained by the existence of superhero tech... if contemporary fairing designs are not convincing. All TVs are B&W, with only a few color cabinet models seen. All product packaging is contemporary with the late 40s to early 60s timeframe. So everything is pointing to Ratatuille taking place in the vici

Text - SDAY. BEPTEMBER 16TH, 2008 a headline from 2002, and given that lawsuits generally take a while and september to december is really quick for the banning of supers so let's say they were banned in mid 2003, at the EARLIEST incredibles can take place in 2018, with ratatouille taking place sometime in between 2003 and 2018 assuming that was a mistake, thunderhead died november 15 1958, a date where superheroes would've been illegal if incredibles 1 took place in 1962
